The Border Roads Organization (BRO) has officially announced the recruitment drive for 542 vacancies under BRO Recruitment 2025 covering positions such as Vehicle Mechanic, MSW (Painter), and MSW (DES). This is a stable opportunity for applicants who have passed 10th Class and have ITI, vocational training certificates. The application process is offline and will start from 11 October 2025 to 24 November 2025. Those applicants residing in far-flung and difficult geographical regions such as North-Eastern states, Ladakh, Andaman & Nicobar, and certain parts of Himachal Pradesh will have time until 9 December 2025. Who Can Apply? (Educational & Age Requirements)

The eligibility criteria set by BRO for BRO Recruitment 2025 is given below

1. Vehicle Mechanic

• Applicants must have passed 10th Class from a govt. verified board.
• Applicants should a certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Diesel / Heat Engine from ITI or Vocational Training Institute.

2. MSW (Painter)

• Applicants must have passed 10th Class from a govt. verified board.
• Applicants must have valid Painter Trade Certificate from ITI, Industrial Trade Certificate, NCVT or SCVT.

3. MSW (DES)

• Applicants must have passed 10th Class from a govt. verified board.
• Applicants should a certificate in Mechanic Motor / Vehicles / Tractors from ITI.

Age Limit

Age relaxation will be given to the applicants of categories SC, ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen, and PwD as per government rules.

Offline Application Process

To apply for the BRO Recruitment 2025 applicants must follow the given below BRO Offline Application Process:

Step1: Go to the https://bro.gov.in/.

Step2: Print out the application form that is attached to the official notification.

Step3: Attach the required documents:

• Educational certificates
• ITI/Trade certificates
• Identity proof
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Experience certificate (if required)

Step4: Put the application form and the attached documents in a envelop and write clearly:

“Application for the post of ______ Category: UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ESM/CPL”

Step5: Send the completed application form to the address mentioned in the notification.

Screening & Selection Stages:

Applicants applying for the BRO MSW and Vehicle Mechanic posts have to qualify multiple stages to get hired by the recruiter. The selection process includes:

1. Written Examination: To check the basic knowledge of trade and general knowledge.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): To check the physical ability of the applicants so that recruiter know they meet the physical standard of the post or not.
3. Practical/Trade Test: To check hands-on skills like motor vehicle repair, painting, or mechanical diagnostics applicable only for technical posts.
4. Age + Experience & Document Verification: Applicants who qualified the written examination, PET and Practical/Trade test will be called for document verification. And applicants with experience will be given priority.
5. Medical Examination: Only medically fit applicants will get selected for the recruitment.

Pay Matrix, Benefits & Allowances

The selected applicants will be placed under the Pay Matrix Level – ₹18,000 to ₹63,200 depending on the post. In addition to the basic salary, applicants receive:
